Benedryl® Treat allergies, itching, reaction to insect stings, etc. You can also swab the bite with ammonia  or  use a little hydro-cortisone cream 1% .. 

Pumpkin for Diarrhea and Constipation

It's quite strange that canned pureed pumpkin (not the pie filling but the 100% natural canned pumpkin) can work wonders for both the occasional bout of diarrhea or for the opposite, constipation in dogs. It firms up dog's loose stools or diarrhea within a few hours. How much pumpkin should you give? It depends on the size of the dog but as a rule of thumb a couple of teaspoons daily for a small dog or a couple of tablespoons for a large dog. It's doubtful that your dog or puppy will eat it without disguising it in some way in it's food.

Dogs can also be given a dose of Pepto Bismol every 6 hours. (Dosage depends on your dog's weight: 1 ml per lb.) Bonus, the Pepto Bismol also works to stop vomiting.

Two other over-the-counter medicines can be given to dogs with diarrhea: Imodium AD (1 ml per lb. every 8 hours) and Kaopectate (1 ml per lb. every 2 hours).

Scratching..

Does your beloved dog scratch incessantly? Chew their paws, have red, raw skin patches and losing hair?

Have you taken your dog to the Vet and been through the allergy tests, the injections, the antibiotics, the Prednisone, tried every shampoo, cream, lotion and spray available, and still your dog is in misery? Don't despair, there is one more product to try, it is cheap, easy to obtain, and cures the majority of dog dermatitis/hot spot problems.

Apple Cider Vinegar. It will reverse all kinds of dog skin ailments. Spray directly on the hot spots for immediate relief. Continue using Apple Cider Vinegar, applying it twice daily directly to the hot spots by spraying or sponging on. In about 3 days, the dog's hair will start growing back and the redness will be gone from the skin. Relief for you and your dog.

Even if your dog does not have hot spots/dermatitis, add ACV to your dog's bath water for a thick, shiny coat and odor neutralizer. Bathing them with a little ACV will protect your dog from getting hot spots and fleas. Also, add 1/4 cup of ACV per gallon of drinking water for your dog to protect your dog against fleas. Your dog will be too acidic inside and out for the flea's taste, so fleas will leave your dog alone. A few drops of ACV in your dogs ears after bathing will help avoid ear infections and ear mites.
